What is an estate sale?

An estate sale is an in-person sale where people come into your home and purchase contents during a sale. This typically lasts 2-3 days depending on the amount of the contents in your sale.

Who needs an estate sale?

Four most common reason people have an estate sale are downsizing, death of a friend or family member, divorce, or debt.

Do I have to leave town during my estate sale?

No, but we do ask that you are not present during the time of the sale. You may return each day after the sale has concluded.

Can I give things away or sell items on my own?

Once the contract is signed Attics to Basements Estate Sales asks you not to remove items from the sale. By the time you signed the contract we have taken pictures of the items that you were putting in the sale. Buyers are coming to purchase the items in the pictures. We want to prevent disgruntled buyers.

What payment methods do you except from buyers?

We accept cash, all major credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle.

Is there sales tax?

No, we are an estate sale company that is providing a service. We aren’t selling our own goods so there for there is no sales tax.

Why don’t you allow purses and bags of any kind?

I’m here to protect my client and my clients belongings. I feel that not allowing purses and bags cuts down on theft.

What type of security do you use?

We put cameras in the rooms.

Do you help load items that buyers purchase?

Yes, if you have people there to help load then buyers are more willing to purchase larger items. We remove the large item from the room and carry it out for our customers so there is no damage caused to our clients home. We even deliver the item for the buyer for a fee.
